North 40 explains the story behind "I'm Not Broken, I'm just Broken In"

This song is an anthem....We started talking about our love for horses and Heather's husband being a former PRCA Bareback Rider. We compared life experiences to the hard rodeo road for the horse and rider and the beautiful lyrics of our song evolved from there... There has never been a more perfect way to describe how we feel about ourselves as women at this point in our lives! It is an honest collaborative effort to own the imperfections of our journeys so far and to celebrate and honor the lessons learned. Knowing that each triumph and trial has been a gift to light the rest of the path that is beneath our feet, waiting to be forged.
